Why I wrote this book:

I was at a writing retreat for Jewish children’s book writers, and there was a very dramatic thunderstorm one night. When the storm ended, the sky cleared and the full moon rose. It was an amazing experience that filled me with wonder and appreciation for our beautiful world.
